Reflection II
To walk the mists of morning
To dance underneath the evening star
To hold hands and browse the woods
To gaze into each other's eyes, lost
And found, seeing therein a reflection
A romantic's heart runs true and free
The shadows have risen and fled
My heart once more is a-beating
The ardor and the beauty
The darkness and the sunlight
The truth and the meaning
The life and its living
When will I wander down these roads?
When will our paths cross at last?
When shall we, arm-in-arm, explore?
The stars shine brightly overhead
The moon flits behind a passing cloud
The stage of life, darkened a moment
Anticipation seems to build
Music, unheard, swells dramatically
And in the half-veiled moonlight
I see your soft smile
And find myself enamored all anew
The clouds break, light cascades off your hair
So this is what it means to be in love
Or so I tell myself, inexperienced as I am
Were it that these wonderings were more than a dream
Were it that our paths shall one day cross...
