Musings Upon A Length of Threads of Fate

It is often observed that as one ages, time seems to pass more swiftly. I have a theory for this: the more we live, the less each day counts on a percentage basis. For example, a newborn baby has doubled its life by living another day. Never will a day count so much. That said, there are days in this thing we call life that stand out, that appear more than the mere sum of 24 hours. Those are the days that hold up the entire patchwork, woven out of threads of fate that together define a life.

It is strange how these key moments can appear unexpectedly and it is strange how much these moments end up meaning. In fact, while the vast majority of days of life fall back into the gray wastes of forgotten memories, these few days stands out. It is in those days that one beholds threads of fate, winding onward relentlessly, bearing the one alive to his or her final destination, the final patchwork, the end result of all the weaving and threading. Where that destination is, as of yet I do not know. That I am heading thither – this is the hope that fuels my heart.

In hope,
