Running Around Naked
I'm running around naked
I forgot to put my armor on today
I was in too much of a hurry
I didn't think anyone on the battlefield would mind
I was right, in a way
No one expressed any discontent
Flesh, unprotected, is a sweet sight to see
if a sword-bearer or archer you happen to be
But one person complained,
Just little old me
I didn't like the arrows in my hide
Nor the slashes on my arms
Tomorrow is another day
My wounds, though deep, I have nursed somewhat
I will be sure to put my armor
I will take the time to pray
