Written Before a Play

un-believe-able
they have this
massive control panel
with all these lights

un-believe-able
is that so?
they're crazy
they built this entire thing

it took forever to build
that was hard enough
it took like an
entire day

three doors
hard enough
impossible to build
took forever

someone
someone
massive control panel
all these lights

i like the bar
i think it's kind of old
un-believe-able
i woke up at 8:11

my arm, it was like
it was asleep
there was so little
blood flow to it

it hurts
as the blood is flowing
back
excrutiating pain

as long as you don't flex
as long as you don't flex
it hurts
it hurts

i put my arm
and my muscles
my muscles
it was sooo bad

i felt like ow
for like 10 minutes
the blood, the blood
it was flowing back

pushing into my body for so long
like oh my god
my best friend
is like really built

his arm fell asleep
he woke up
and he moved it
and he didn't realize it

he grabbed his own hand
he threw it as hard as he could
against the wall
and broke one of his fingers

but his arm wasn't asleep anymore
so it worked
though he broke his finger
so that sort of kind of sucked

is that so?
everyone was like ow
the agony spreading like
the ringing of a bell

she gave me this look
this look that would stew a cat
write don't speak she said
and laughed, though she didn't find it funny

oh crap she thought
i'm dating a nerd
and a poet
this is like

the worst of both worlds
how will i ever survive
what's next, she wondered
a poem about me?

a dark feeling of doom
and dread clouded over the room
then, the sentence decided it was depressed
and rewrote itself

so yeah
like where's the play
write but don't speak she said
and she stewed a cat!
