Unto Light
- Listen to me read this poem.
I just can’t understand
How you walk by each day
And simply only say
That there’s nothing there
No wind does blow
Nothing does there go
Sadly leaves twirl
Simply upon their own accord
Dancing upon the wind
Upon the seas of air
The unseen ocean
We walk now through thin air
A consideration upon a numerical base
All you know, sadly forgetting
Shreds of truth, of light
Fading to gray and going out
Why can no light illuminate your path?
I must do war upon bent knees
And see if there is a way
That my prayers can influence your path
To go away from darkness
Unto light
A simple path, truly
Yet one that seems hard to tread alone
For alone it is not tread
But with its Maker
That way the path will lead true:
Unto Light
